Termes et conditions pour les licences de conception
& Questions fréquemment posées
How do I start? It’s easy! Just send me a message with your idea via email to markcooper@markcooperart.com. It can be a song, a short story, or even just a few words about the "vibe" you want. I’ll let you know if I’m the right artist for your project.
How much does it cost? The price depends on how much detail you want. I can do a "painterly" style with bold light and shadows for a smaller budget, or a "high-detail" style with thousands of tiny marks, textures, etc. if you want something very complex. Tell me your budget, and I will let you know what I can create for you!
When do I pay? I ask for a 50% deposit before I start drawing. This holds your spot on my schedule. You pay the other 50% once the art is finished and we both agree that it's finished.
Can I see the art while you work? Yes! I will send you a rough sketch first. This is where we make sure the shapes and layout are satisfactory. Once you say "Go," I start blocking in values and color, then lastly I'll render the details.
What do I get at the end? I will send you high-quality digital files. Normally its a .psd, or if its huge, a .psb. I'll also send a .tif, .png, .jpeg, or any other format you need..They are very large and clear, so they will look perfect on t-shirts, album covers, or big posters.. Pretty much anything you want to print on.
Do you work with bands? Yes, that's mostly who I've worked with since that's what I've been into for over 30 years. Whether you need a single cover, a full t-shirt design, or a logo, I can help to make the art match your music, in my style. You can tell me what to paint, not how. That's the only thing i wont do is let someone nit pick my process.
Can i add you as a friend on Social media? Now that i bought your art we're buddies now, right? No. Paying for some art does not grant you friend status. I like to keep my personal life private. And when people (that don't know me) think that we're friends online, it becomes a very time consuming and draining ordeal. I would rather keep things strictly transactional. Thanks.
Commission Price Guide
Level 1: The BASE Manifestation (Standard)
Best for single covers or focused merch. designs with one focal point.
The Style: A "painterly" approach focusing on core shapes. This style aims for a simplified image without the crazy detail.
Turnaround: 1–2 weeks.
Estimated Budget: $300 and up. The more specific you want the art to be, the higher the cost.
Level 2: Deep Rendering
(High Detail)
The signature Mark Cooper method. Best for vinyl gate folds and complex posters.
This is my most time-intensive process. It involves painting things tight and clean at a large resolution. Because this requires much more time to render every inch of the canvas, the price reflects that (duh!).
Turnaround: 3+ weeks, sometimes months.
In rare cases it can take years for the most detailed work.
Estimated Budget: $1000 and up.
Anything under $3k is a total rush job.
Tight and clean work takes me 100+ hours ($3000 or more!), so if you're broke, please don't haggle with me. Its draining!
This isn't some generic AI slop. I'm drawing every detail BY HAND!
If you think there's something wrong with that then I want nothing to do with you! I didn't get into art to let a machine do my work for me! If I wanted a machine to do the work I would work in a factory!
I don't make happy meals on an assembly line, I make artwork with an emphasis on the work! My vision, my methods, my time, and my effort! Take note, you're on MY website!
