How do I start? It’s easy! Just send me a message with your idea via email to markcooper@markcooperart.com. It can be a song, a short story, or even just a few words about the "vibe" you want. I’ll let you know if I’m the right artist for your project.
-
How much does it cost? The price depends on how much detail you want. I can do a "painterly" style with bold light and shadows for a smaller budget, or a "high-detail" style with thousands of tiny textures if you want something very complex. Tell me your budget, and I will tell you what I can create for you!
-
When do I pay? I ask for a 50% deposit before I start drawing. This holds your spot on my calendar. You pay the other 50% once the art is finished and you are happy with it.
-
Can I see the art while you work? Yes! I will send you a rough sketch first. This is where we make sure the shapes and layout are perfect. Once you say "Go," I start adding all the deep textures and details.
-
What do I get at the end? I will send you high-quality digital files. They are very large and clear, so they will look perfect on t-shirts, album covers, or big posters.
-
Do you work with bands? All the time! Whether you need a single cover, a full t-shirt design, or a logo, I can help your music look as dark and powerful as it sounds.

Commission Price Guide
-
Level 1: The Manifestation (Standard)
-
Best for single covers or focused merch designs with one focal point.
-
The Style: A "painterly" approach focusing on core shapes. This style aims for a strong, moody image without overwhelming detail.
-
Turnaround: 1–2 weeks.
-
Estimated Budget: $300 and up.
-
Level 2: The Deep Rendering (High Detail)
-
The signature Mark Cooper style. Best for vinyl gatefolds and complex posters.
-
The Style: This is my most time-intensive process. It involves building up thousands of tiny textures, multi-eyed structures, and organic details. Because this requires much more "hand-time" to render every inch of the canvas, the price reflects the labor of the density.
-
Turnaround: 3+ weeks.

Estimated Budget: $1000 and up.
